The children in the Den may attend for either a half or a full day, as their parents prefer, with many choosing to stay two or more full days a week as the academic year progresses. In Lower 1 there is an optional half day on Wednesdays.

In order to minimise traffic congestion, parents must abide by the school's one-way traffic scheme and staggered arrivals and departures system, where the oldest children arrive first and leave last. The school day for the youngest children is from about 9.00am to 3.40pm. For the oldest children, the day starts at 8.40am and finishes at 3.55pm. The school strongly encourages car pooling and the school office acts as an information exchange to promote this. Bicycles and scooters may also be left at the school, locked to a purpose-designed rack.
