The Independent Association of Prep Schools
The Independent Association of Prep Schools is the professional association for Heads and Deputy Heads of the leading 600 independent prep schools in the UK and worldwide.
Accreditation as an IAPS prep school provides an additional mark of quality. Whatever the particular ethos of a member school, parents can be sure of a high quality of teaching and learning; a high degree of specialism in many subjects and phases of education; and generous resources, not least in the school's adult:child ratio.
ICT Mark
The ICT Mark is a national accreditation scheme which gives schools recognition for their achievements in using technology to deliver excellent learning. Over 1,000 schools in the UK have achieved the ICT Mark and thousands more are working towards it.
We've been acredited with the ICT Mark.
Montessori Centre International
The House Schools (Bassett House School and its sister schools Orchard House School and Prospect House School) enjoy very close links with the Montessori Centre International and 150+ student teachers have been trained by the schools over the past 15 or so years. The Montessori System of Education is a unique child-centred approach used and respected in countries all over the world. At Orchard House it is successfully used to deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum
