LOWER 1 Art and PE lessons

In art lessons the children have learned about mixing primary colours, and in PE lessons they have been learning to throw and catch.

DEN Cooking

The children in The Den enjoyed their first cooking lesson this week and used their new equipment to make vanilla cupcakes. They ate the cakes before they went home and said they were absolutely delicious!

CLUBS Art club and knit’n’natter club

In this week’s Form 1 art club the children drew their version of Japanese artist, Yayoi Kusama’s, Infinity Pumpkin.

In Miss Shearer’s knitting club the children have learned the basic knitting stitch and how to knit a row. The girls will each be knitting a scarf.

MATHS Maths puzzle of the week

Each week we will be posing a maths puzzle of the week for the children in KS1 (Forms 1 and 2) and KS2 (Forms 3, 4, 5 and 6). The answer will be published in the following week’s edition of the Weekly. Click on the images above to see this week’s puzzles.

OHSPA ‘Enchanted Seas’ Quiz Night

This year’s OHSPA Quiz Night takes place on Friday 16 March at St Alban’s Church on South Parade. The theme of the Quiz Night will be Enchanted Seas to tie in with BLUE Marine Foundation, the charity the children have chosen to support this year. There will be a raffle, a silent auction and a prize for the table with the best decorations. Click here for more information.

Tickets will be on sale from Monday 29 January until Friday 2 February. Tables seating teams of 8 people will be be sold at £200 per table (£25.00 per head).


Wednesday – No senior choir or advanced music club

There will be no senior choir and advanced music club next Wednesday, 24 January.

Lost property

Please may we remind parents that all items of uniform should be clearly named to help our lost property monitors to reunite missing items of uniform with their owner.
