Other top stories…

Life in Lower 1 continued

The children have been learning about 3-D shapes in maths lessons, have been practising their hand writing, and have enjoyed dressing up.

The children have also been making different faces to show different feelings; happy, sad, angry, excited. They had a discussion about feelings, how people show them, how to know how someone else might be feeling, and what to can do if they are feeling sad or angry.

Life in the Den

This week the children in the Den have enjoyed designing and creating an aeroplane, as part of their topic on Transport and Journeys. The children ‘took off’ and flew to Thailand!

SPORTS Form 3 and above – Reminder about games kit

The sports department would like to ask parents to help ensure children bring the correct sports kit to school as recently a large number of children have been coming to games without the correct equipment. Please may we remind parents and children that children need the following equipment for games lessons and fixtures, in addition to normal games kit:

Hockey – children require a mouth guard, shin pads, suitable trainers or astro turf shoes and a water bottle.

Rugby – children require a mouth guard, football boots and a water bottle.

Netball – children require trainers and a water bottle.

Rules published by the governing bodies of these sports state that children should not be allowed to play if they do not have the correct equipment.

Rugby squads – confirmation of days and times

Tag rugby squad for children in Forms 2 and 3 takes place on Tuesday mornings.

Contact rugby squad for children in Forms 4, 5 and 6 takes place on Thursday mornings.

Both squads start at 7.30am and take place on Chiswick Back Common. Everyone is welcome to join, please remember to bring your mouth guard.

Lost property

Please log in to the parents’ section of the website to see details of lost property.
