We are delighted to celebrate the outstanding achievements of Orchard House School staff at the Pearson National Teaching Awards—a prestigious, nationwide celebration of excellence in education run by The Teaching Awards Trust. These awards recognise the exceptional educators across the UK, highlighting those who make a transformational difference to the lives of young people and their communities.
Each year, thousands of nominations are submitted from schools across the country, with judges looking for evidence of exceptional impact, innovation and dedication. To be recognised at any level is a significant achievement, and we are incredibly proud that so many members of the Orchard House community have been honoured this year.
We are thrilled to share the success of our 2026 nominees.

We are also delighted that the wonderful Orchard House Early Years Team, led by Miss Rosamund Brown, Head of EYFS, and Mrs Mercedes Remuiñan, Head of Nursery, has been awarded Highly Commended, recognising their exceptional provision and unwavering commitment to giving every child the very best start to their education.
Combining decades of experience with innovation, the team creates a nurturing, stimulating environment where children flourish academically and emotionally. Their personalised approach ensures every child is truly known and supported, as reflected by one parent: “The Early Years provision is everything a parent could want for their child’s start to school.” Their work continues to set a benchmark for excellence in early education.
