Why join our Reception class?
- Purpose-built facilities: Our spacious and innovative centre for early years – Rupert Road – provides a safe and dynamic home to our Nursery and Reception classes. The bright and colourful, purpose-built centre is perfectly equipped to support both physical and academic development, with spacious classrooms, a dedicated kitchen, and large outdoor play areas, including an outdoor classroom.
- Specialist teaching: From the outset, all pupils benefit from our team of specialist teachers in subjects such as music, eurythmics, language (French), computing, and physical education. This early introduction fosters a love for the arts and active living, contributing to well-rounded development.
- Outdoor learning and play: We believe in the importance of outdoor activities for young learners. Our dedicated outdoor play area provides daily opportunities for children to explore, play, and develop physical skills in a safe environment and secure setting.
- Wraparound care: We offer extensive wraparound care from 7:30am to 6pm. This not only supports our busier families but ensures that each child’s day is filled with enriching experiences, even beyond standard school hours.
- Enrichment and off-site learning: Pupils engage in a diverse curriculum of exciting activities, including whole-school assemblies where students receive certificates to celebrate their success, PE lessons, weekly library visits, STEM Centre sessions, and educational trips such as farm visits, woodland experiences, and local walks.
- SEND support: We’re proud to provide specialist, tailored support for children who need it, including weekly on-site Speech and Language Therapy and collaboration with Occupational Therapists when required.
